Product Manager

Summary

Join Simple Technology Solutions as a Product Manager and contribute to the NASA EED-3 Program, working in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying products and services to enhance the discoverability of NASA earth science data. This position requires a U.S. Person eligible for export authorization, a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Requirements

• Be a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Have a minimum of 10 years' position-related experience
• Have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience building software applications for enterprise scale systems
• Have at least 4 years of people management, including relationship building with key stakeholders, communicating technical findings with non-technical stakeholders, and working with subcontractor team members, in agile development environments
• Have experience working with geospatial data and tools, especially those related to this program (Common Metadata Repository and Earthdata Search)
• Have the ability to ensure that developed products are moving in the right direction, in step with the product vision, goals, and objectives
• Have the ability to align development efforts to meet end-user needs and customer’s goals
• Have experience using metrics and data to drive a development team to a desired goal
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience creating RACI charts

Responsibilities

• Define and support the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable cloud-based products that meet customer needs over time
• Collaborate with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs for cloud platform usage
• Manage expectations and requests from both internal and external stakeholders
• Support the Agile Release Train (ART) in delivering value through the Program Kanban and Continuous Delivery Pipeline
• Define Releases and Program Increments (PI) priorities, as well as participating in PI planning
• Manage and prioritize the ART feature backlog, as well as ensuring product completeness
• Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap, for use towards coordinating the work of multiple Product Managers, ARTs, and Suppliers
• Ensure adherence to operational agreements and policies
• Ensure compliance to program and NASA standards and requirements
• Leverage industry best practices for automation and scalability of assets
• Implement issue detection and alerts

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), particularly as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• Have knowledge of metadata cataloging and search engine indexing
• Have experience with conflict management between two or more parties
