Summary

Join Verra Mobility's Government Solutions team as a Product Manager, playing a key role in developing next-generation products, including a new cloud-based Back Office system. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related engineering / technical degree, or equivalent practical experience, MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience working in technology and product development, with a focus on executing product strategies, user discovery, defining requirements, and building/maintaining roadmaps
  • Broad understanding of cloud and compute technologies, such as AWS/Azure, multimedia data processing, data storage/management, artificial intelligence, and APIs
  • Ability to foster positive customer interactions while challenging and probing for insights
  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, structured problem solving, and data-driven analysis
  • Solid written & verbal communication skills and gifted in interpersonal interactions (e.g., collaboration, consensus building, conflict management)
  • Experience driving cross functional teams across all levels and functions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience and interest working on products that have a large compliance or regulatory component, or aptitude for similar types of requirements-heavy products

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations
  • Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders and customers to shape the product strategy and surface and prioritize needs
  • Monitor business, market, and technology trends to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions
  • Maintain a roadmap and release plan that effectively prioritizes the delivery of features and technologies to meet customer needs while providing best in class solutions to our markets
  • Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements through prototyping and MVP definition
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements, making recommendations in the form of business cases and securing business approval
  • Determine internal and contract/partner/external resources and skills required to deliver on the product roadmap
  • Partner with engineering and support teams to ensure the optimal design and delivery of solutions
  • Guide the product engineering team to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability)
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security)
  • Manage investment decision making and finances for the product, taking a return-on-investment approach to increasing the value while minimizing product costs
  • Define, track, and communicate relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with 0 to 1 product development a plus, including comfort working in undefined or rapidly evolving contexts – constantly evaluating trade-offs and managing competing priorities
  • Knowledge of the transportation/smart mobility sector and road safety a plus
  • Position requires occasional travel to engage with customer and participate in team meetings (approx. 10-20% of time)
