
Product Manager, Debt Management

Summary
Join a long-standing provider of debt management software as their Product Manager, Debt Management. You will play a key role in transitioning their flagship product from a legacy server to a modern web-based solution. This full-time, fully remote position, open to US and Canadian candidates, involves bridging client needs and technical execution, influencing product direction, and ensuring the product's strategic value is understood. You will gather client feedback, generate user stories, and guide features from concept to delivery, working closely with the Development Lead, Development Manager, and General Manager. This high-impact role requires self-motivation, ownership, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. The position offers the chance to lead established, evolving solutions, shape product solutions, and grow within a dynamic organization.
Requirements
- You have a strong understanding of debt management
- You may be an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner with a background in B2B financial software, in either the public or private sector
- Or, you may be coming from the user side, as someone who has worked with debt management solutions, recognized those limitations, and now wants to help build better tools by turning those gaps into meaningful product improvements

Responsibilities
- Lead the product lifecycle. You will own the roadmap from strategy through delivery. You will align stakeholders, manage priorities, and ensure each release delivers measurable business value. Your input will shape decisions and clear blockers
- Define and refine strategy. You will conduct market research, gather insights from clients and industry trends, and build a roadmap that balances immediate opportunities with long-term goals. You will identify opportunities for innovation and improvement taking the product from legacy to modern web-based solution
- Drive product development. You will translate feedback and product vision into actionable user stories and requirements. You will communicate priorities to the development team and support successful implementation throughout the build cycle
- Be the client advocate. You will work directly with users to understand their evolving needs, gather feedback, and ensure features reflect real-world requirements. You will help create solutions that improve their daily processes and workflows
- Champion internal understanding. You will provide internal teams with the context they need to support and promote the product. Communicate what it does, why it matters, and how it helps clients succeed
- Launch and iterate. You will oversee product releases, monitor performance, and continuously refine functionality and usability based on feedback and data
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with product testing or competitive product assessments is a plus
