Summary

Join Paddle's Experience group as a Product Manager to lead the development of Developer Experience efforts. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver solutions for technical stakeholders in SaaS businesses, contributing to Paddle's strategic vision of becoming the growth platform for SaaS businesses. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining product roadmaps, defining and prioritizing features, leading the end-to-end product development process, conducting market research, collaborating with stakeholders, monitoring product performance, and executing go-to-market plans. You will be responsible for delivering an ambitious roadmap and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right products are built. This role requires a deep understanding of developer tooling, APIs, developer documentation, SDKs, and technical onboarding. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical role and a passion for creating powerful developer tools.

Requirements

  • You have worked in a technical/development role in the past, or like to build on the side
  • You canโ€™t tolerate a bad developer experience, and have a good eye for what technical users need
  • You're excited by, and have specific experience in, working with technical stakeholders, creating powerful developer tools, onboarding flows within technical products, or creating great developer documentation
  • Youโ€™re a Product Manager who enjoys working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers, product designers, and other functions to deliver value to users through frequent product launches
  • Youโ€™re comfortable getting into the details of technical concepts and can work closely with engineers to find the best solution to a problem
  • You spend time speaking to your customers and finding various ways to gather customer insights to build a world-class product
  • You understand that measuring success through metrics is an important part of Product and you can draw insights from data to make sure we build the right products
  • You love solving problems in innovative and creative ways

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones and deliverables
  • Use internal and external analysis to feed into the strategic direction of the product roadmap, always ensuring Product & Engineering is making the right impact
  • Help guide effective discovery of new initiatives, run agile workshops and facilitate prioritisation conversations
  • Define and prioritise product features and requirements based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals
  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch
  • Work with engineering and design; and develop appropriate planning, prioritisation, and delivery processes to enable the launch of new features and high quality products on time and within budget, delivering fast value to our software sellers
  • Manage the product life cycle, including updates and enhancements, ensuring products remain competitive and meet customer needs
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform product decisions and improvements
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Communicate product strategy and progress to stakeholders, including team members, and customers
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives
  • Present product updates and performance metrics to stakeholders regularly
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success
  • Analyse the performance of our product using data, and use those insights to drive continuous improvement and determine the product roadmap. Based on product performance, determine when actions are needed to upgrade, improve, revise or reposition products
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to enhance product features and ensure our product offers the best user experience and meets customer needs
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for product launches and updates
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption
  • Create marketing collateral, sales training materials, and other support documentation
  • Train sales and support teams on product features and benefits
