Requirements
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and data analysis to inform product decisions
- Proven ability to prioritize features and manage product roadmaps
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
- Technical knowledge of relevant technologies like APIs, databases, and security protocols
- Ability to analyze data and prioritize features based on user impact, business value, and technical feasibility
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and track progress, using data to inform product strategy
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years work experience in a product role
- Project management experience and/or certification
- Ability to effectively present and communicate information to stakeholders and senior management
- Experience using Product Development tools (Atlassian suite preferred--Jira, Figma, Confluence)
- Ability to analyze data from various sources such as analytics tools, reports, and surveys
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture and microservices; APIs; automated testing; continuous deployment
- Understands agile principles and drives iterative processes to release and improve upon feature and product launches
Responsibilities
- Develop and champion a clear product vision for your assigned squad, aligned with Discogs' overall strategic goals
- Deeply understand user needs and pain points through research, data analysis, and direct engagement with the Discogs community
- Work closely with engineering, design, and QA to translate user needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring timely and effective delivery of features and enhancements in an iterative fashion
- Define and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on user impact, business value, and technical feasibility
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance and identify areas for improvement, using data-driven insights to inform product strategy
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in your product area
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like sales, marketing, legal, and customer support to communicate product strategy and address stakeholder concerns
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification - CSPO, Project Management, software development methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Lean, etc.)
- Experience working in online communities and/or ecommerce environments
- Experience utilizing Discogs platform as a user
- Experience with large scale, high traffic websites that operate on a global scale
