Product Owner

Summary

Join Grass Valley as a Product Owner and contribute to our groundbreaking AMPP Platform. You will define product backlogs, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with global R&D teams. This role requires live production and video stream processing domain expertise, strong communication skills, and experience with Agile methodologies. You will work closely with various teams, including development, product management, and presales, to ensure product success. Requirements

• BA in computer science, information systems, or related field
• Broadcast experience with video stream processing, live production, stream routing domain knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn about the product, use AMPP Platform and teach others about the product
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal
• Fluency in Confluence, JIRA and AzureDevOps
• Previous working experience as a product owner
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Any SCRUM or equivalent certificate for Product Owner or other

Responsibilities

• Define product features according to customer (external and internal) needs
• Lead the development process
• Act as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
• Manage and prioritize product backlog items
• Assist the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint
• Adjust and improve each iteration of the product before release
• Identify areas of improvement
• Keep customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product
• Strategize and present ideas to stakeholders
• Work with the presales team to help with designing solutions for key strategic customers
• Visit customers to understand how they are using our products, exchange knowledge about the product and to elicit feedback

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowing other languages on top is a big plus
• Experience in Sphinx, GIT, markdown, Linux
• Experience in Media, Broadcast, OTT, Consumer devices industries
• Experience in UI and/or UX design
• Experience in software quality assurance
• Understanding of AWS cloud services
