Product Owner

Summary

Join NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team as a Product Manager specializing in Titles and Metadata. You will manage the entire lifecycle of API products, including roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities involve leading grooming sessions, documenting features in JIRA, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to find optimal technical solutions. You will also mentor product specialists and act as a consultant on new initiatives. This fully remote position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in technology or media. The salary range is $110,000-$145,000, and the position includes company-sponsored benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
• Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management, as well as identifying an MVP

Responsibilities

• Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of an API product
• Manage feature roadmap, and prioritization of capabilities and features of an API product
• Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features
• Lead grooming sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date backlog of clearly defined features/stories
• Fully document product features and capabilities in JIRA, ensuring all stories have acceptance criteria that is clear and can be measured
• Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an API and/or Technical Product Owner
• Experience in Film / Television (ideally with knowledge of Production / Post-Production workflows), Media, Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
• At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
• Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
• Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
