Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on application and product security, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Deep technical knowledge with the ability to remain hands-on, conducting security assessments, code reviews, and architecture reviews when necessary
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for product security that aligns with business objectives and growth
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams and driving security initiatives in partnership with engineering and product leadership
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments, balancing the need for security with the need for speed in a startup-like setting
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, as Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship at this time
Responsibilities
- Build and mature a comprehensive Product Security program that aligns with Calendlyβs growth, emphasizing application security, cloud infrastructure, and secure software development practices
- Embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Lead efforts to secure artificial intelligence features, ensuring data privacy, compliance, and security by design
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to influence product architecture and feature development with a security-first approach
- Supplement and support application security efforts through technical assessments, and incident response as needed
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of security engineers
- Act as an advocate for security best practices within Calendly and the broader tech community
- Ensure compliance with relevant security and privacy standards and manage security audits related to our product and cloud environment
