Summary
Join the TAIT team as a Land Surveyor in Rancho Cordova, CA, reporting to the VP of Engineering. Requirements
- Possess 5+ years of experience in the survey-mapping field
- Hold a Professional Land Surveyors License from the State of California
- Have recent construction staking experience
- Have Boundary Topographic survey experience
- Possess experience with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
- Be proficient with Trimble surveying equipment and software
- Hold a valid California Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Perform construction staking for buildings and structures
- Utilize robotics and GPS equipment for surveying tasks
- Operate and maintain Trimble surveying equipment and software, including 1-man robotic data collection
- Proficiently use AutoCAD and Civil3D software
- Work with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
- Demonstrate solid math skills and a team player attitude
- Assist in teaching and mentoring other team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Have three years of journey level experience with responsible charge on a survey project which has involved the use, adjustment, and care of surveying instruments; both with a field crew and processing work in the office
- Be proficient in a wide range of computer programs which may include MS Office Suite, CADD (Civil3D, Carlson, MicroSurvey, or other drafting package), Processing/adjustment software (Trimble Business Center, StarNet, etc.)
- Have three or more years of Digital Terrain Model (DTM), GPS, collection and processing, least square adjustment, Topographic surveys, and boundary surveys experience
