Summary
Join VetsEZ as a Project Manager to lead Agile software development teams supporting DevSecOps initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will oversee end-to-end project delivery, manage cross-functional team performance, and ensure project objectives align with VA's mission and compliance standards. This role requires leading all phases of project management, defining project scope and timelines, partnering with technical leads, tracking Agile metrics, and serving as a liaison between VA stakeholders and development teams. You will also promote process improvements and coordinate with leadership to manage dependencies across products. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of project management experience, and demonstrated success leading Agile teams using DevSecOps practices. Residency within the continental US is required.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
- 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in a federal or healthcare environment
- Demonstrated success leading Agile software development teams using DevSecOps practices
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and secure development lifecycle practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project management initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for DevSecOps related projects
- Define and manage project scope, timelines, resource plans, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholder expectations
- Partner with technical leads to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure modernization
- Track and report on Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to monitor progress and identify risks early
- Serve as the primary liaison between VA stakeholders and internal development teams, ensuring transparency and timely communication
- Promote process improvements, governance, and quality assurance across delivery teams to uphold security and compliance
- Coordinate with leadership to manage dependencies across products and align priorities within the broader portfolio
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Agilist or other Agile certifications
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile frameworks
- Ability to obtain a government clearance
