Project Process Designer

Requirements

• Associate's degree in drafting/design or equivalent technical experience
• 7+ years of industry-relevant experience working as a designer
• Required previous recent experience with process and utility system piping design in a 3D environment
• Required previous recent experience with 3D piping and equipment specification, model generation, and database management
• Required previous recent experience with utilizing point cloud data to develop 3D designs
• Required previous recent experience with integration and management of multi-party 3D models into a single model for use by the project team
• Required previous recent experience with piping standards and component specifications for P&IDs
• Required previous recent experience with coordination of design packages with multiple resources, disciplines, and vendors
• Required previous recent experience with designing pipe supports and typical mechanical details for process systems
• Required previous recent experience with generating 2D piping plans
• Required previous recent experience with creating elevations and isometrics from a 3D model or from existing 2D files

Responsibilities

• Design piping and process systems for industrial wastewater, consumer goods, food, and beverage projects
• Create process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Perform QA/QC of design and drawing packages
• Work as part of a collaborative project team integrated with contractors, vendors, and clients
• Travel to client site as required for project meetings and field data collection

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a designer in the consumer products, food, and/or beverage industries
• Preferred recent experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Preferred recent experience with Navisworks
• Preferred recent experience with Autodesk Recap
• Preferred recent experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
