Protocol Analyst

Join Figment, a leading blockchain infrastructure provider, as their APAC Protocols Analyst. This remote-first role focuses on supporting the growth of Figment's staking business in the Asia-Pacific region. You will identify and analyze new protocol opportunities, conduct due diligence, and build relationships with protocol founders. The position requires strong Web3 knowledge, experience in a similar role, and excellent communication skills. You will collaborate with various teams and contribute to internal reporting. Requirements

• Be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability of operating in a fast-paced environment
• Be personable and comfortable communicating with others across teams and platforms on a regular basis - high EQ
• Possess 2-5 years in a similar role within the tech industry or startup environment
• Demonstrate blockchain knowledge with high energy, interest, and desire to go deeper down the Web 3 rabbit hole
• Be currently active on crypto Twitter or have the desire to build a reputation on Twitter
• Have published articles, blogs, content on relevant subject matter, or a demonstrable desire to do so
• Be organized with an emphasis on documentation and knowledge transfer
• Speak English; Chinese preferred, Korean/Japanese/Indonesian also helpful

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform due diligence on upcoming protocol opportunities and build thoughtful relationships with upcoming protocol founders
• Perform cost-benefit analysis on supported networks
• Maintain frameworks and processes for identifying and approving new protocol opportunities
• Work closely with the DevOps, Sales, and CS teams on opportunity prioritization
• Conduct research on Web 3 topics like interoperability, modularity, zero-knowledge, and shared security
• Create opportunity and portfolio reports for internal teams at Figment
• Engage with Web 3 communities in external channels and at conferences and events

Preferred Qualifications

Korean/Japanese/Indonesian language skills
