Join Mantra Health, a company revolutionizing student mental health care, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This fully remote, 1099 position offers flexibility in scheduling, with a minimum 10-hour weekly commitment (or a part-time W2 option). You will provide virtual therapy to college students in New York, conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborating with other healthcare providers. We seek candidates with a valid PMHNP license in New York, experience in outpatient mental health, and expertise in treating common college student mental health conditions. Weekend and evening availability is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the New York State
• Possess 1+ years of experience in outpatient community mental health settings
• Expertise in treating common mental health conditions among college-aged students including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders
• Understand culturally responsive treatment and have experience with diverse patient groups
• Comfortable assessing the urgency of escalating risk scenarios
• Equipped with a quality video camera and a stable internet connection to facilitate virtual care

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments
• Conduct biopsychosocial intakes focused on whole-person care with clear diagnostic assessments
• Engage with patients through our collaboration portal
• Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and on-campus treatment providers
• Document clinical encounters for effective care coordination
• Partner with our care navigation team to support students
• Collaborate with campus care teams to create longer-term treatment plans when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state licensure is an added advantage as we operate in all 50 states
• Weekend and evenings preferred but not required
