Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Python backend development
  • Strong expertise in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and version control systems (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to seamlessly integrate UI elements with server-side logic
  • Ensure performance, quality, and stability of the applications
  • Implement security and data protection concepts
  • Write and maintain clean, maintainable code
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Continuously learn and apply modern technologies and best practices
  • Participate in agile processes (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Practical knowledge of FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and ORM
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI)
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures and serverless computing
  • German is a plus for communication with our German-speaking team and clients
