QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join AlphaPoint, a financial technology company, as a QA Automation Engineer - Backend and Frontend. You will perform automation testing, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality software, web, and mobile applications. This is a 100% remote opportunity open to LATAM talent. Responsibilities include automated testing of front-end, back-end, and mobile apps; identifying and reporting defects; automating API testing; troubleshooting automation failures; collaborating with developers; creating performance profiling tools; and providing code reviews. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, 5+ years of QA automation testing experience, and at least 1 year of professional experience coding in .NET/C#. Preferred skills include experience with load testing tools and blockchain/crypto knowledge. Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5+ years experience in software QA automation testing
• At least 1 year of professional experience coding in.NET/C#
• Must have experience with Postman and managing collections
• Full Understanding of WebSocket, REST and JSON
• Has the ability to setup and maintain frontend, backend, and mobile automation frameworks
• Experience with scoping, sizing and overseeing multiple concurrent projects, assessing the appropriate level of risk-based testing, and reviewing team deliverables
• Experience working within a trading or financial organization
• Great communication and coordination skills and able to work efficiently under pressure
• Highly analytical and a quick problem solver

Responsibilities

• Responsible for automated testing of our front end, backend, and mobile apps
• Identify, record, track, and report on defects found
• Automate API testing workflows and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation test failures in the pipelines
• Work with the development team to correct bugs and errors
• Create tools and automation to profile performance and application efficiency
• Provide Code Reviews for development efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• JMeter, K6, or other load-testing tools and experience
• Passionate and knowledgeable about the blockchain and Crypto space
