QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Xebia, a global leader in digital solutions, and contribute to the development and execution of automated tests for our cloud-based applications. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for both frontend and backend components, enhancing automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and work closely with developers and product owners to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Contribute to improving software quality processes through code reviews and identifying bottlenecks. This role requires 5+ years of experience in test automation, expertise in frontend and backend automation, and proficiency in C#, Selenium, Playwright, and RestSharp. Work authorization within the European Union is required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation
• Expertise in frontend and backend automation
• Web experience
• Proficiency in C#
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for browser automation
• Familiarity with RestSharp for API testing
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience in manual testing to complement automated efforts
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing automated tests: Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts for both frontend and backend components of the application
• Enhancing automation frameworks: Building and improving existing test automation frameworks to ensure scalability and efficiency
• Integrating with CI/CD pipelines: Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
• Collaborating across Teams: Working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Ensuring quality standards: Participating in code reviews, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software quality processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with desktop application testing
• Understanding of accessibility testing principles
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
