Summary

The company is seeking a Software Test Engineer (STE) to join their team at a well-known US Streaming Platform. The STE will be responsible for testing infrastructure, writing code, working in an Agile methodology, driving Test Driven Development, and providing risk assessments on defects. They are looking for candidates with 3+ years of formal testing experience, 2+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing, and solid experience in Java and API testing. Additional qualifications include experience with performance testing or Selenium. The position is fully remote, offers a USD payment, a long-term contract, unlimited time off, and the possibility of traveling to the US.

• 2+ years Hands-on experience with developing automated tests
• Solid experience in Java and API testing

Responsibilities

• Test infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments
• Work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology highly focused on developing automated tests within an iteration
• Drive Test Driven Development where modules that are being worked on are tested right away for immediate feedback
• Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity
• Perform ad-hoc/exploratory tests from a feature as well as regression testing and performance testing
• Mentoring of team members on several competencies, such as STE Test Automation Standards, use of STE Unified Test Framework

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Performance Testing, using tools such as jMeter, Curl, WebPageTest or other commercial or open source tool (3 months at least)
• Experience with Selenium
