Remote QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Fieldwire as a QA Automation Engineer for Android to own the UI automation process and create long-lasting foundations at Fieldwire. You will work directly with the Android team to create new tests, maintain the existing UI test suite, and help ensure high quality releases.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working as an automation engineer (QA or SDET)
• 3+ years of automating tests for the Android platform, preferably using Espresso with Java or Kotlin
• Writing UI tests adhering to best practices like adhering to the page object model pattern
• Experience in executing test runs and reviewing failures against native mobile apps
• Experience with CI tools like CircleCI or Jenkins
• Experience with manual testing on mobile devices
• Experience with and understanding of QA best practices
• Strong communications skills

Responsibilities

• Writing test plans for new features
• Working closely with our manual QA testers to identify areas that need automated test coverage
• Creating new automated tests for our Espresso test suite
• Identifying and rectifying automated test failures through regular maintenance
• Working directly with the mobile team to deliver test results in the release sign off process
• Working with the QA team and other engineering partners to build best practices for engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both standard Espresso Views and Compose Test automation
• Building reporting tools and APIs into an existing automation framework

Benefits

• Estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: $125,000-$150,000
• Corporate bonus which can range up to 20%
