QA Engineer

Summary

Join Backbase Digital Lending as a Senior QA Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative financial solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by implementing repeatable processes for painless and continuous delivery. Your expertise in test automation, API testing, and frontend testing will be crucial in this role. You will work closely with developers and other QA engineers to adopt best practices in test automation and ensure the smooth functioning of our products.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer
• Hands-on skills in test automation (Java or JavaScript/TypeScript), API testing, and frontend testing
• Experience and understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with at least one of the Selenium-based testing framework
• Experience testing API endpoints, preferably using REST Assured
• Ready to perform both manual and automation testing
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to bring a vision across and get the commitment to move everyone along
• You understand how to build testing processes inside the team

Responsibilities

• Focus on all aspects of quality, using your technical expertise skills to implement repeatable processes with the objective of painless and continuous delivery
• Provide products and deliverables
• Be a sounding board for your peers, provide experience and knowledge to your team, work alongside Developers and QA Engineers to understand and adopt best practices in test automation
• Be a clear communicator and can explain technical topics, issues and questions to various audiences clearly and concisely
• Know what motivates your peers and like to share the vision while driving your QA goals in an iterative and agile way
• Shine on with your manual and automation testing skills (writing scripts, implementing test suites, building pipelines)
• Understand functional and non-functional aspects of testing, automation focus
• Understand that manual testing sometimes does the job!
