You will design and scope comprehensive QA testing efforts, develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure full coverage across all features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate testing progress, and maintain HIPAA compliance. The role reports to the QA Manager and requires 4+ years of QA experience testing web applications or mobile platforms.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of recent experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, testing web applications or mobile platforms
  • Skill in writing detailed test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Proven experience with API testing, ensuring reliability and functionality
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document defects, enabling engineers to replicate and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong prioritization skills to balance short-term needs and long-term business goals
  • Proactive communication, able to recommend process improvements and workflow changes within a fast-moving team
  • Comfort working with command-line interfaces, such as Rails console
  • Capability of working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively when required
  • Ability to thrive in a remote-first, agile environment and excel in fast-paced, dynamic settings
  • Commitment to continuously improving documentation and testing processes
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis and contributing to remediation test planning

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test automation and tools like RSpec, Capybara, Mocha, Cypress, Jest, or similar (expertise in at least one)
  • Proficiency with cloud testing tools such as BrowserStack, Lambda Test, or similar
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman
  • Familiarity with Rails applications and development frameworks
  • Experience working in regulated industries like healthcare, finance, or security, with healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Competence with git for version control

Benefits

  • Full-time W-2, Remote position, located in the United States
  • Base salary: $89,000 - $100,000 per year
