QA Engineer

Summary

Join Smartcat, a rapidly growing Series C company, as a Quality Engineer and play a crucial role in improving the quality of automated tests. Your mission will involve leading a part of the product in terms of quality, maintaining test infrastructure, creating and automating test plans and cases, improving the test pyramid, conducting manual checks, performing code reviews, and developing CI and test architecture. This role requires 2+ years of QA experience, proficiency in Selenium Webdriver and Git, and experience automating REST API and UI testing. Requirements

• 2+ years of QA experience
• Understand and follow quality standards, software testing methodologies and test design techniques
• Experience in Selenium Webdriver and Git
• Understand and apply the principles of OOP
• Have at least 1 year of practical experience in automating testing of both REST API and UI in any high-level language (Java, C#)
• You know how to work in a team, you can argue your opinion and are open to new ideas and feedback
• Understand agile methodologies and the software development life cycle

Responsibilities

• Lead a part of the product in terms of quality
• Maintain the test infrastructure
• Create test plans and cases, automate them (API, E2E)
• Improve on the test pyramid, split Selenium tests into smaller ones or rewrite them to API
• Manual checks (sometimes)
• Code review, actively learn and share knowledge with the team
• Develop CI and test architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in test refactoring
• Experience with Gitlab pipelines
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2)
