Senior QA Engineer

You will be responsible for enhancing the flagship comparative rater platform, ensuring top-tier user experience, speed, and accuracy. This involves collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams, directly interacting with insurance carriers, and prioritizing testing efforts. You will define testing strategies, execute tests, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Requirements

• Have 4+ years of professional QA experience, with a focus on manual testing – especially web applications (Black Box, White box and Grey box)
• Have a strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Have experience with test case design, execution, and bugs reporting for complex systems (Frontend and Backend)
• Have experience in API testing using Postman or Swagger, including validation of API requests and responses
• Experience with SQL for data validation, query writing, and ensuring accuracy of related data
• Have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experienced in reviewing and validating requirements and technical specifications
• Have a very good command of Polish and English (written & spoken)
• Shows a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing techniques, while proactively expanding skill set to meet the evolving needs of ongoing projects
• Independent problem solver who excels as a collaborative team player

Responsibilities

• Deeply collaborate with the engineering team, actively participating in the development of new features and initiatives, from initial requirement analysis and test planning to execution, regression testing, and final release sign-off
• Partner closely with Product Managers, prioritizing testing efforts, clarifying requirements, challenging assumptions from a quality perspective, coordinating Business Acceptance Testing, and advocating for the needs of end users
• Work closely with SDETs to expand and maintain our automated test coverage for new features and regression testing, and collaborate with other manual QA engineers on cross-team initiatives
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability
• Define testing strategies including functional and regression testing, write test cases and execute tests basing on product requirements and technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with A/B testing tools
• Experience with logging, monitoring, analytical tools (e.g., Coralogix, Heap, Fullstory)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their impact on the QA process
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with Non-functional testing
