Summary

Softrams is seeking a QA Engineer for a remote role to build modern applications for mission-critical U.S. federal government enterprise IT solutions. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and meet other federal requirements. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, 4+ years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, 3+ years of experience with front and backend testing, knowledge of Angular/React, Protractor, REST web services testing, Selenium or similar tools, AWS ecosystem, agile work management, excellent communication skills, and experience using Jira and Confluence are required. Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation
  • Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States
  • Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years
  • Create and maintain a catalog of quality metrics for enterprise data, policy and program performance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and maintain comprehensive test plans and test plans for enterprise business applications
  • Lead test management activities as part of the SDLC on large scale complex implementations
  • Lead continuous quality improvement programs utilizing industry standard methodology and standards (i.e. CMMI, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Ability to perform manual and automated testing using business approved testing libraries for both frontend and backend systems
  • Create and roll out best practices for test management and QA
  • Lead a QA practice that is tightly integrated in the SDLC – requirements analysis, design, development, operational readiness, etc
  • Help lead and execute testing across many concurrent implementation projects
  • Develop and manage action plans for teams executing goals and objectives of practice
