QA Specialist

Summary

Join Airship as a Quality Assurance Tester and contribute to the creation of exceptional cross-channel customer experiences for world-leading brands. You will be responsible for creating detailed test plans and test cases, documenting system workflows, identifying and tracking bugs, verifying fixes, and collaborating with developers and product managers. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills. Experience with bug tracking tools and the ability to understand complex system interactions are essential. This fully remote position may require up to 10% travel and offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$80,000 USD per year, plus equity and a robust benefits package.

• Experience with bug tracking (especially Github issues) and test management tools
• Ability to understand and document complex system interactions
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems & tools

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements
• Document system workflows and behaviors with precision and clarity
• Identify, document, and track bugs in our Github issue Queue, and see issues through to resolution
• Verify fixed issues and perform regression testing (manual or automated)
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements
• Create comprehensive system documentation, including user guides and process flows
• Analyze and report on product quality metrics and trends
• Participate in product design reviews to identify potential quality issues early

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance or system testing
• Experience working with software engineers
• Background in ASO applications
• Experience creating technical documentation or user guides
• Familiarity with AWS, kubernetes, docker, Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, nodejs, typescript, PostgreSQL

Benefits

• The starting base pay range for this position is: $65,000 - $80,000 USD per year
• Some roles may also be eligible for commission, bonus, or other performance incentives
