QA Tester

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry
• 3+ years of experience with a first person shooter (FPS) project
• Experience with major consoles and expertise with PC
• Experience with working with Atlassian Suite
• Ability to provide clear and concise creative feedback
• Proficiency of end-to-end game QA process
• Experience with Xray or similar test case management software
• Proficient knowledge of JIRA
• Own an up-to-date gaming PC
• Have sufficient and reliable internet - able to download large quantities of data each month

Responsibilities

• Test the game and report finding via JIRA, reports, and by other means if needed/requested
• Help mentor newer members of the team
• Assist QA Manager with establishing QA standards, methodologies, and test strategies
• Define and improve standards for test cases and test reports
• Collaborate with our development team to identify quality issues to be achieved
• Provide support to the QA team on assigned tasks
• Help establish bug reporting workflows within each project
• Partner with producers to ensure that projects stay on schedule for planned QA phases
• Regularly communicate updates to project stakeholders
• Use bug tracking data to analyze quality challenges and work with development team to reduce quality issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge on localization, functional, automated, compliance, and certification testing
• Experience with Live Operations and games as a service from a Quality Assurance perspective
• Development QA experience
