Quality Assurance Analyst in Worldwide

Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst is a temporary Union position responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan, executing the plan, and ensuring that deliverables meet functional and design specifications. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, 5+ years of technical expertise, experience with all phases of testing, understanding of web applications, and competency in programming languages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or similar technical field required
• 5+ years of technical expertise in implementing industry standard testing methodology and tools
• At least 5 years of experience with all phases of testing: System, Integration, Automation and User Acceptance Testing
• Solid understanding of web applications: HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, HTTP protocol, cookies/sessions, browser differences, web services
• Competency in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Typescript, VB.NET/VBScript, C#, Python, SQL etc

Responsibilities

• Create an end-to-end test plan and manage activities to ensure objectives are met
• Review functional and design specifications, work closely with SMEs, product owners, and developers, translate requirements into clear test cases, collaborate with team members, develop and maintain manual and automated test cases, execute automated test suites, provide detailed reports on test outcomes, integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, identify potential quality issues, triage bugs or issues reported by staff, ensure validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications, isolate, replicate, and report defects, verify defect fixes, and continuously improve test processes

Preferred Qualifications

Solid experience in Agile methodologies and experience in estimating testing efforts
