Quality Assurance Engineer II

Summary

Join Jenzabar as a QA Engineer II and contribute to the success of our higher education clients. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software by finding and documenting bugs, designing and executing test cases, and collaborating with a cross-functional team. This position requires strong diagnostic and technical skills, experience with SQL queries, and familiarity with ERP applications. Preferred skills include experience with automated testing tools and higher education administrative software. Requirements

• Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product
• Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries
• Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team
• Design, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs
• Perform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as required
• Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy
• Demonstrate a proficient understanding of our products or technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus
