Summary

Advanced Automation Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to oversee the quality of deliverables for DLIFLC's FAO Language Program. Responsibilities include leading quality control tasks, having deep knowledge about IMI and QCP, ensuring adherence to standardized procedures, developing quality standards, conducting thorough reviews, providing feedback, working closely with project teams, delivering reports, and assuming ownership of the QCP. Required qualifications are a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, 3-5 years of experience in editing/proofreading/QA, familiarity with style manuals, leadership skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and SharePoint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in quality assurance, education, education technology, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in editing, proofreading, and quality assurance
  • Familiarity with various style manuals and standards
  • Proven quality assurance team leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead, initiate, delegate, and maintain ownership of quality control tasks to project team members
  • Have deep knowledge about the Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and the contract Quality Control Plan (QCP)
  • Ensure adherence to standardized procedures/methodologies for monitoring and documenting contract performance
  • Establish and maintain procedures for trend analysis and procedures for collecting and addressing customer feedback/complaints
  • Develop and update quality standards and checklists responsive to evolving project needs
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members on quality assurance tasks
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and adherence to quality standards
  • Deliver detailed reports on quality issues and progress to Project Managers and Program Managers
  • Partner with leadership teams to integrate quality milestones into project plans and schedules
  • Assume ownership of the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and enforce its standards
  • Recommend, implement and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved

Preferred Qualifications

  • Showing initiative and possessing the foresight to anticipate and address issues before they arise
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills
