Summary

Join AnyRoad as a Lead Quality Engineer and own the foundation of quality, driving processes, tools, and culture to ensure exceptional product value. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams, defining and embedding quality into every development step. Leveraging real-world usage data, you'll validate new features and analyze production data for improvements. This role involves leading a comprehensive testing strategy, including automated testing, A/B experiments, and real-time monitoring. You will also mentor team members and champion quality engineering best practices. For local candidates, this position will be in the office Mon/Wed in San Francisco. Otherwise, this can be a remote position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in quality engineering, with a track record of leadership in teams, initiatives, or programs
  • Deep experience with tools and ecosystems like Ruby on Rails, React/Node.js, Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber
  • Passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering high-quality solutions that exceed expectations
  • You let insights and metrics guide your decisions, with a strong ability to analyze and act on data
  • Able to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights and rally cross-functional teams toward a common goal
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and consistently delivers results
  • Always learning, always improving, and always seeking better ways to test, validate, and delight

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion quality standards, metrics, and processes that empower teams to deliver reliable, world-class products at speed
  • Collaborate with engineers to build and maintain robust testing frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines
  • Validate that we’re not just building products right, but building the right products, leveraging real-world usage data to inform testing strategies
  • Establish and track key quality metrics, using advanced analytics to uncover opportunities for improvement
  • Drive a comprehensive testing strategy that includes automated testing, A/B experiments, canary releases, and real-time production monitoring
  • Take charge of testing environments, datasets, and workflows to ensure teams can validate features against realistic customer scenarios
  • Analyze customer-reported issues to identify root causes, share insights with teams, and lead systemic improvements that raise the bar across the board
  • Evangelize quality engineering best practices, mentor team members, and inspire others to prioritize reliability, scalability, and user satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with tools and ecosystems like Ruby on Rails, React/Node.js, Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber
