Summary
Join Chainguard, a leader in secure open-source software, as their Director of Sales! You will manage a team of 5-7 Enterprise Account Executives, reporting directly to the VP of International Sales. Responsibilities include driving team revenue, fostering a collaborative environment, improving onboarding processes, preparing forecasts, and establishing performance metrics. This role requires 6+ years of technical sales experience, 3+ years managing high-performing teams, and experience with CSP marketplaces. Preferred qualifications include open-source, DevOps, or security experience, existing enterprise customer relationships in the UK/Nordics, and experience with hyper-growth stages. Requirements
- 6+ years experience selling a technical product; open source, DevOps or security experience preferred
- 3+ years experience successfully managing high performing software sales teams
- Experience working with the CSP marketplaces
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline targets, etc.)
- Experience selling to Fortune500 and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation systems
- Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations; ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel as needed
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the VP of International Sales and manage a team of 5-7 Enterprise Account Executives
- Drives, manages and executes the business and revenue of their sales team
- Build a collaborative environment where your team can thrive, learn and grow
- Build and improve processes for AE onboarding and ramping
- Prepares forecasts, territory/industry management and growth plans
- Establishes and reports on metrics to measure team performance
- Drive alignment with supporting teams across marketing, customer success, BDR, sales engineering and customer engineering
- Set the strategy for Chainguardβs largest accounts
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing Enterprise customer relationships in the UK and/or Nordics
- Experience going through a growth or hyper-growth stage
