Summary

Join our NRS Team as a Release Engineer and ensure the controlled release of all our software. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven track record in DevOps. This role is primarily located in Minsk, Belarus, but offers remote work opportunities. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and releasing software, managing dependencies, maintaining accurate Jira lists, ensuring thorough testing, and continuously improving the release process. This position requires extensive experience in software development, DevOps, and various technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a DevOps role
  • Working level experience with AWS Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to manage building and delivery of software packages
  • 5+ years experience in software development
  • Experience with Git
  • 5+ years experience with Linux including shell scripting
  • Experience with Jenkins and GitHub in a CI/CD environment
  • Experience with automated testing tools, especially Cypress
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Experience with PHP and JavaScript
  • High Level English speaker/writer (B2+)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and release software in collaboration with product managers, development teams, and stakeholders
  • Manage dependencies between Jiras when building software
  • Maintain accurate lists of approved Jiras, ensuring that only approved software is contained in a release
  • Ensure tests are run upon release, and revert if necessary
  • Enhance and execute our change management process
  • Develop and maintain historical reports for deployments showing success/failures
  • Continuously improve and automate the release process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with configuration management
  • Awareness of security considerations including credentials management in the release process
  • Awareness of compliance requirements (PCI, Sox)
