Remote 2D Games Animator

Summary

Join SOFTGAMES' dynamic team as a 2D Games Animator, working remotely to create engaging animations for Match-3 games. As part of our fully remote team, you will collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to bring life and excitement to the game's core gameplay, characters, and environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 2D Animator in the gaming industry (portfolio or demo reel required)
• Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe Animate, Spine, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, balance, etc.)
• Ability to adapt to different animation styles, from cartoony to realistic
• Excellent English communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Animate high-quality 2D elements, including characters, environments, and core gameplay features for our Match-3 games
• Create eye-catching particles and special effects to enhance the world and storytelling
• Collaborate with design and art teams to seamlessly integrate animations into gameplay
• Adapt animations to fit various styles while maintaining consistency with the game’s art direction
• Optimize animations for performance without sacrificing quality and fluidity
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creatively to project development
• Implement and refine animations based on feedback from the team
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques for 2D animation
