Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, solution design and automation on AWS cloud platform
  • 5+ Years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and services such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS DevOps (Code Commit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline) or Azure DevOps
  • 5+ years of experience with automated provisioning of AWS services esp. EKS using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • 5+ years of experience in migrating complex applications and workloads to Kubernetes platforms esp. EKS on AWS
  • 5+ Years of experience in microservices deployment on Kubernetes platform
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building the AWS cloud infrastructure environments from the ground up
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes with integrated test automation
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and security
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices
  • Collaborate with product management, program management and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, develop solutions that align with business objectives, ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications
  • Conduct POCs to evaluate different tools and technologies to enhance our technology stack to improve both functional and non-functional aspects of our solutions
  • Migrate existing applications, APIs, batch jobs, and deploy newly built micro-services to EKS on AWS, ensuring no downtime, high availability, scalability, resiliency and optimal performance with security and cost optimization
  • Develop and maintain scripts, architectural documentation, including architecture and design patterns, best practices, and implementation guides
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices
  • Conduct regular cloud infrastructure housekeeping, performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization of AWS environments. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system reliability, and security
  • Work as an individual contributor and provide mentorship to junior architects and engineers
  • Provide AWS infrastructure, networking, security and DevOps hand-on production support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services industry, specifically with broker-dealer platforms, is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, Transfer Family, VPC, IAM, Cognito, SQS, SNS, MSK, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Event Bridge, Step Functions, EMR, Kinesis, Amplify, Identity Center, GuardDuty and Workspaces
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in the AWS cloud
