Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a compliance role, within the financial services or crypto industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs in a regulated environment
  • In-depth knowledge of USA regulations related to cryptoprocessing, including AML, KYC, and OFAC requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable USA laws and regulations related to cryptoprocessing
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks associated with cryptoprocessing
  • Implement compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements
  • Monitor and review internal processes to ensure they are effective and comply with regulatory standards
  • Manage and oversee the company’s AML and sanctions screening programs
  • Report SARs and other required reports
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the executive team and regulatory bodies
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during compliance audits
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues or breaches
  • Implement corrective actions to address compliance deficiencies and prevent recurrence
  • Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory authorities
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes
  • Represent the company in industry forums and compliance-related meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant compliance and risk management certifications
  • Previous experience working specifically within the cryptoprocessing industry or a deep understanding of blockchain technology and its regulatory landscape
  • Experience with international compliance regulations and working within a global compliance framework
  • Familiarity with compliance management software and tools, as well as a general understanding of IT security and data protection principles
  • Direct experience liaising with regulatory bodies such as FinCEN, SEC, and other relevant federal and state agencies
