Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred
- Extensive experience in financial management, with at least 10–15 years in financial leadership roles in a government contractor professional services environment
- Excellent general management and leadership skills

Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the company’s financial strategy, participate in strategic planning, act as an advisor to the executive team, and play a key role in mergers and acquisitions
- Develop, manage, and oversee the annual budget process, prepare accurate and timely financial statements, and conduct financial analysis and performance monitoring
- Ensure adherence to government regulations (e.g., FAR, DCAA), coordinate audits, manage financial risks, and maintain internal controls
- Implement cost accounting practices for government contracts, develop pricing strategies, manage wrap rates, and identify and implement cost-saving measures
- Monitor and manage cash flow, develop financial forecasts and projections, oversee expense management, and manage payroll and accounts payable processes
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, manage investment portfolios, develop capital-raising strategies, and manage debt relationships
- Assemble, manage, and develop the finance and accounting team, including providing financial training and support to other organizations
- Oversee financial relationships with vendors and contractors, ensure procurement process oversight, and negotiate payment terms
- Oversee the implementation, management, and upgrading of financial systems and technologies to streamline processes and improve accuracy
- Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, uphold ethical standards in financial reporting, and serve as the primary financial liaison with government agencies
