Remote Chief Pricing Actuary

Join Argo Group, a leader in specialty insurance, as Chief Pricing Actuary to lead pricing in the US and define the Argo US pricing strategy. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and insightful leadership to the US pricing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or related field of study
• ACAS or 5+ exams in current pursuit of ACAS
• 7 + years of actuarial experience in multiple lines of insurance with commercial insurance experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to management and other functional areas
• Ability to interact and work within a team environment and approach actuarial work as a collaborative product
• Ability to manage concurrent projects
• Proficient PC skills developed through extensive use of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Proficiency with SQL
• Broad overall knowledge of insurance
• Experience with Management Liability a plus and familiarity with ISO
• Property catastrophe modeling familiarity
• Expert knowledge of capital allocation and risk-adjusted return models
• Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and able to quickly evaluate the accuracy of information
