Remote Cybersecurity Data Analyst

Nozomi Networks is looking for a fully-remote Cybersecurity Data Analyst to join our Security Research team. The Data Analyst is responsible for expanding and maintaining accuracy in our vulnerability dataset. The candidate will be working independently and in team to collect, enhance and improve data related with vulnerabilities affecting systems and devices. The ideal person for this position has an interest in cybersecurity, expertise in data collection and processing activities, a solid organizational attitude and knowledge of Python.

The team will provide a fully assisted onboarding period to share all the required knowledge and tools to be successful delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection, data entry and data analysis
• Coordinate with the team to actively deliver results
• Ensure accuracy and consistency for data in different custom and standard formats
• Apply logic and strategies to correctly classify vulnerabilities
• Developing and extending systems to automate this process

Requirements

• Understanding of cyber security vulnerabilities, including reading security advisories and CVEs
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Experience handling large data sets
• Ability to work both independently and in team
• Ability to read documentation in order to select and extract relevant information
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl or Ruby
• Attitude to operate in environments including data covered by non-disclosure agreements and high-level of confidentiality
