As a Data Scientist, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret business requirements, assess the business impact of potential changes, and develop and implement data models and algorithms to address business challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong portfolio of successful projects
• Experience in database interrogation and analysis tools, such as Apache Hadoop, SQL and SAS
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and R
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively
• Proven experience with statistical concepts and data preprocessing techniques
• Proactive with the ability to work independently
• Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to work
• Knowledge of insurance business principles is an advantage
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret business requirements
• Assess the business impact of potential changes and provide data-driven insights
• Develop and implement data models and algorithms to address business challenges
• Utilize statistical methods to analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights
• Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems
• Work closely with subject matter experts to understand and validate data sources
