Responsibilities

  • Design to client and regulatory requirements per the direction of your Project Management team
  • Develop and maintain project documentation regarding protection and control design and construction
  • Support the development of P&C one line diagram, AC/DC schematics, control panel layout and wiring diagram, station service AC/DC distribution diagram, bill of material, cable schedule, etc
  • Keep Milhouse Engineering management advised of all quality. Schedule and budget variances in a timely manner
  • Vendor drawing review and disposition
  • Maintaining project files
  • Creating and enforcing project quality plan
  • Data and document entry into various platforms
  • Assist management as directed

Job description

The Associate Electrical Engineer(III) will support substation design projects. You will also have the opportunity to work with large utility companies learning the ropes on behalf of Milhouse.

Your main responsibilities can include creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables for a range of Substation projects. You will be an instrumental part of our talented Power team that allows for internal growth and endless upward mobility.

What you will do:

What we are looking for:

  • Proven ability to consistently produce high quality of work.

Your background:

  • 6-8 years substation design experience:
  • 4 years of experience with relay protection/protection and control design.
  • 2 years of experience with substation equipment specifications.
  • 1 year of experience with IEEE/NECS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience with engineering design.
  • P.E. desired, or willingness to obtain.

$102,000 - $118,000 a year

The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
