Job description

Join us at Ventura TRAVEL – a group of specialized travel brands that unleash the adventurer in every person! As our new Global Operations Specialist, you will play an integral role in our common mission: to create and support successful travel brands that change the world for the better.

As our Global Operations Specialist – Tour Management, you’ll act as a flexible problem-solver, stepping in wherever needed to resolve operational challenges. You will be a troubleshooter and have a significant impact on day-to-day operations by allowing our Director of Operations to focus on the big picture of management and strategy. You will have a clear quarterly focus either as part of our reservations or tour guide recruiting departments in Africa and Asia-Pacific regions, thereby ensuring smooth tour operations, managing supplier relationships, and handling recruitment and training of tour guides.

The Operations team is international, and English is our working language. This is a fully remote role, and we are looking to hire in South Africa or Southeast Asia. You’ll travel for several weeks a year, depending on operational needs and your quarterly focus.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that we’ll only consider applications written in English.

On daily basis you will

  • Check all corresponding invoices and send them for payment to our Finance team.
  • Negotiate with service providers by ensuring the highest quality standards and competitive provider costs for our growing portfolio of trips in Africa, Asia Pacific, and Japan.
  • Support efforts in recruiting and training tour guides, ensuring that we have skilled and knowledgeable guides who align with our company’s values and quality standards.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in tour operations, from internal processes to supplier workflows, that reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and elevate customer experience.
  • Find quick and cost-efficient solutions to operational emergencies and support tour guides on the ground.
