Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with expertise in generative AI and image generation technologies
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
• Strong technical acumen, comfortable engaging in discussions with experts across disciplines
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences
• Excellent listening skills, building rapport and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Analytical and strategic thinker, adept at solving challenges and driving impactful outcomes
• Adaptable in fast-paced environments, ready to pivot and manage shifting priorities
• Self-starter with a process-improvement mindset, always seeking better ways to work
• Advocate for ethical AI practices, ensuring responsible and thoughtful implementation

Responsibilities

• Oversee all research activities related to multimodal intelligence through intuitive interfaces such as video, imagery, 3D data types, text and beyond
• Ensure our roadmap of research projects is well-organised, deadlines are met, and resources are allocated efficiently
• Lead and mentor a large team of AI Researchers across applied science, data operations and aesthetics, supporting their growth and performance
• Work closely with our leaders (including JJ, our CEO) to understand company priorities and translate them into actionable research plans, steering the team’s focus accordingly
• Encourage the team to challenge existing methodologies and think outside the box
• Work closely with team members to engage in thoughtful discussions to push the boundaries of our research
• Translate complex research outcomes into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with product management, software engineering, design, marketing, and sales to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into our product
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in generative AI and image generation to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team
