Accountant

Summary

Join Arize's Finance team as an Accountant and contribute to the success of a leading AI observability and evaluation platform. You will play a crucial role in executing accounting policies and processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the company's growth. This role involves performing monthly and quarterly close processes, managing accounts receivable and payable, and assisting with audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate possesses 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of GAAP. Requirements

• 2-5 years of related experience in Accounting related function in an evolving and high growth environment
• Willingness and ability to learn general ledger responsibilities as needs arise
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and at different levels within and outside the organization
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters

Responsibilities

• Perform routine monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparing and recording journal entries and preparing account reconciliations for a variety of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, cash, A/R, revenue, etc
• Managing accounts receivables and accounts payables invoice processing
• Ensuring a smooth audit process by performing internal controls, maintaining immaculate record keeping, and assisting in the audit process
• Assist in preparing required support for annual tax filings and help maintain general tax compliance throughout the year (sales tax, 1099s, etc.)
• As the the team and accounting processes grow, assist in developing and updating thorough documentation of all processes
• Support special projects and analyses as needed by the Finance team

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 experience and CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience with SaaS accounting and reporting (ARR), ASC 606: Revenue Recognition, ASC 340-40: Capitalized Contract Costs, and ASC 718: Stock-Based Compensation
• Experience with Quickbooks
