Requirements
- 2-5 years of related experience in Accounting related function in an evolving and high growth environment
- Willingness and ability to learn general ledger responsibilities as needs arise
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of GAAP
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and at different levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters
Responsibilities
- Perform routine monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparing and recording journal entries and preparing account reconciliations for a variety of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, cash, A/R, revenue, etc
- Managing accounts receivables and accounts payables invoice processing
- Ensuring a smooth audit process by performing internal controls, maintaining immaculate record keeping, and assisting in the audit process
- Assist in preparing required support for annual tax filings and help maintain general tax compliance throughout the year (sales tax, 1099s, etc.)
- As the the team and accounting processes grow, assist in developing and updating thorough documentation of all processes
- Support special projects and analyses as needed by the Finance team
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 experience and CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience with SaaS accounting and reporting (ARR), ASC 606: Revenue Recognition, ASC 340-40: Capitalized Contract Costs, and ASC 718: Stock-Based Compensation
- Experience with Quickbooks
