Join us at Environment Bank, a driven organisation making a real difference in the world, as we seek a strategic and forward-thinking Head of Sales to lead commercial go-to market activities for Nature Shares (biodiversity credits).
Requirements
- Ideally a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the environmental sector
- Strong understanding of biodiversity credits, carbon markets, and environmental conservation principles
- Proven track record of leading and developing successful sales teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive sales success
- Ideally Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets in the biodiversity credits market (Nature Shares) focusing on market penetration and growth
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement supported by a business case for investment (actual sales and revenue, sales pipeline etc) in new talent
- Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favourable terms and closing deals that align with company goals
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies and identify new opportunities
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance metrics, and reports
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, governmental bodies, and environmental organizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with business goals and ensure customer satisfaction
- Drive the development of marketing materials and promotional strategies alongside the marketing team
- Having delivered commercial success represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
- Working cross functionally the delivery of a commercially viable product that position EB as the gold standard when it comes to Nature Shares; that is supported technically and scientifically in rigour / integrity
