Summary

Join the Buckner Family Hope Center as an unpaid intern to support the work of our Family Coaches, Family Pathways Program, Community Coordinators, and Children/Teen Programs. Assist with administrative tasks, planning activities for kids and teens, and develop skills related to working with children and families in vulnerable situations.

Requirements

  • Be bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
  • Commit to working at least 10-15 hours per week during business hours with some evening availability
  • Be comfortable working with children and adults of various ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and religious beliefs
  • Be able to give clear written and verbal instructions to people
  • Have skills in time management, organization, problem-solving, and ability to lead a youth class
  • Be servant-hearted and passionate to learn!

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative work including creating documents, emailing or calling clients, etc
  • Assist with planning and implementing activities for kids and teens
  • Assist with the afterschool class for kids and teens
  • Assist with planning for our Trunk-or-Treat, Thanksgiving, and Christmas events
  • Attend team meetings
  • Remain flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks with the team
