Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in system architecture, specifically in decentralized or distributed systems
  • Strong programming expertise in C, C++, C#, Rust , and familiarity with blockchain-related technologies
  • Proven experience working with blockchain platforms like Ethereum, smart contracts (Solidity), and Web3 protocols
  • Hands-on experience with P2P architectures and decentralized systems
  • Experience leading technical teams and collaborating with external partners to drive large-scale architecture projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of a decentralized architecture based on blockchain, Web3, and P2P technologies
  • Oversee the reset of the existing architecture, taking full responsibility for the transition and the development roadmap
  • Collaborate closely with senior developers and lead a small team (up to 5 developers) to execute the project vision
  • Work alongside external partners to introduce new use cases, features, and smart contracts for the platform, driving innovation in decentralized computing
  • Ensure the architecture aligns with open-source standards and integrate Web3 and blockchain components efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, GO and JavaScript
  • Experience with Docker , GitHub Actions , and infrastructure tools like Prometheus for CI/CD and monitoring
  • Familiarity with Layer-2 scaling solutions , zk-rollups, and blockchain security best practices

Our client offers a cutting-edge, peer-to-peer (P2P) decentralized computing platform, empowering users to lease computational power for tasks like data analysis, scientific simulations, rendering, and machine learning. Their mission is to provide scalable, decentralized infrastructure without relying on centralized cloud providers, with full support for Web3 and blockchain technologies. This open-source project fosters transparency and collaboration. The company employs around 20 people and works fully remotely across Europe. Their culture prioritizes innovation, openness, and flexibility, with current goals focused on expanding their platform’s capabilities in Web3 and scaling its user base.

The biggest challenge in the IT Architect role:

You will be stepping into a critical role, responsible for taking over and evolving the architecture of a highly decentralized platform. Your task will be to ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and decentralized while guiding the reset of the current architecture and coordinating with external stakeholders and partners. You’ll work on bleeding-edge technologies, shaping the future of decentralized systems.

Your tasks:

  • Understanding of cryptography and decentralized consensus mechanisms.
