IT Support Manager

Summary

Join the Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) as an IT Support Officer/Manager volunteer! This home-based role involves providing frontline IT support to BCI volunteers, ensuring smooth server operations, and troubleshooting technical issues. You will also test new products, perform maintenance, and stay updated on information security. Successful candidates will possess strong Microsoft Office 365 and G-Suite administration skills, along with experience in troubleshooting and a minimum of 12 months of Office 365 Administrator experience. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 12 months of Office 365 Administrator experience
• Have SharePoint development experience
• Have Automation experience
• Have Powershell experience
• Have patience to manage non-technical end-users with technical queries
• Have experience with Governance, Security, and Compliance
• Be able to manage their own time and take accountability
• Have demonstrable skills in Office 365 and G-Suite administration
• Be able to work autonomously, proactively, and eagerly learn
• Have troubleshooting experience
• Have a strong interest in Microsoft products
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Have up-to-date technical knowledge
• Have a degree in one of the following subjects: Business information technology, Business systems engineering, Computer networking and hardware, Computer science, Computer software development, Information technology, Internet engineering, Software engineering
• Have proven experience working in a similar role
• Have experience in building constructive relationships with stakeholders
• Have experience in working independently and with teams to drive forward projects using one's own initiative

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent support service to BCI Volunteers
• Participate in troubleshooting and incident resolution activities
• Ensure performance pledges are met
• Provide a high level of service and seek ways to continually improve the IT service to BCI Volunteers
• Perform various regular checks and tasks across the Institute’s user accounts and perform any required actions
• Produce high-quality documentation and keep it up-to-date, including the team support knowledge base
• Create simple solutions / services utilising out-of-the-box functionality, i.e. Office 365
• Maintain knowledge of Microsoft in order to guide BCI Volunteers appropriately
• Proactively and constantly seek to learn and improve both self and team
• Identify where a support request may be a project requirement, capture technical requirements, and produce a project specification
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues

Preferred Qualifications

Have completed additional courses such as BTEC (Edexcel) National Certificate and Diploma IT Practitioners, City & Guilds (E-Quals) IT Practitioners Certificate, and Advanced Diploma and OCR (iPRO) Certificate for IT Practitioners
