Requirements

  • At least 7+ years of experience in the production of games for consoles and PC
  • At least one shipped AAA project from start to finish as Lead Gameplay Programmer
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
  • Excellent skills in C/C++
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong familiarity with AI, physics, animation and gameplay code in general
  • Ability to diagnose problems and make quick and accurate decisions
  • Ability to write efficient and maintainable code
  • Experience with profiling and optimizations
  • Experience working on consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One
  • Experience with commonly used development tools such as Jira and Perforce
  • Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve
  • A keen sense of what makes gameplay systems fun
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and team attitude working with game developers from all disciplines
  • High work ethic and self-motivated
  • Passion for games

Responsibilities

  • To manage talents of Gameplay Programmers team to achieve best possible result for the project and personal growth of team members
  • To set the vision and goals of the entire gameplay features
  • Provide mentorship, direction and best in class engineering principles to ensure quality results and efficient working practices
  • Conduct regular code reviews and manage the coding team to excellence
  • Mentoring, managing and leading the Gameplay programming department
  • Provide day-to-day feedback and creatively solve problems
  • Work with production team to plan development and provide tasks assignment to programmers team schedule
  • Conceptualize playable elements and oversee the execution and implementation of those elements into game
  • Establish and document best practices for scripting and feature implementations
  • Develop and maintain the systems architecture necessary for other developers to implement features in the game
  • Test, debug, profile and optimize implementations
  • Supervision of documentation created by the team members
  • Conduct consistent performance reviews of staff members
  • Conduct recruitment projects with HR collaboration
  • Conduct onboarding to new hires
