Requirements
- Excellent Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Data Engineering Understanding: Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, data lakes (S3), data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), and real-time analytics tools
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Intrapreneurial Spirit: A self-starter who is comfortable championing new ideas, building support for them, and leading initiatives with little oversight
- Product Management: Experience with Agile methodologies, managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and prioritizing development sprints
- Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex organizational structures
- Technical Background: Understanding of the technical intricacies of data pipelines and platforms, with the ability to work closely with engineers to make informed technical decisions
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Acquiaβs Enterprise Data Platform
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, business, and product teams to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of data pipelines and platform features
- Drive the adoption of the EDP within the organization by effectively communicating its value and working to overcome any resistance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across various business units, managing expectations, priorities, and timelines
- Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure that the technical architecture of the platform is robust, scalable, and meets business requirements
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews with engineering teams
- Clearly communicate the product vision and the technical details of the platform to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies to inform the development of the platform
- Define success metrics and KPIs to measure platform adoption, data quality, and business impact
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or data engineering leadership roles. A total of more than 8 years of experience
- Proven track record of managing data products or platforms in an enterprise environment
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and services like S3, Snowflake, and data pipeline orchestration tools
- Familiarity with Meltano, Dagster, dbt, or similar ETL/ELT and orchestration frameworks
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including managing backlogs, sprint planning, and grooming sessions
