Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in data reconciliation, accounting, or 401(k) working with large sets of data to reconcile

  • An excellent verbal and oral communicator with the ability to articulate complex programs at the right altitude for the audience
  • Loves improving workflows through business systems with a passion for a single source of truth documentation
  • Understanding of Excel, sheets, SQL, and data analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for increasing operational efficiency across our core XF workflows by solving data discrepancies
  • Partner with our Annual Compliance, Client Transition, Corrections, and Client Operations teams to identify and manually reconcile data discrepancies enabling those teams to complete work in a timely manner
  • Partner with R&D teams to understand the scope & action required to reconcile data discrepancies including executing manual reconciliations
  • Run SQL queries to investigate and identify data discrepancies
  • Respond to escalation and time-sensitive data reconciliation requests from our XF stakeholders
  • Identify and eliminate root cause issues that generate data discrepancies with our R&D teams
  • Project manage cross-functional teams' data reconciliation projects aligning teams on goals

Job Description

The Operations Associate for Reconciliation role is an opportunity to join the Guideline team that is focused on centralizing and eliminating financial data discrepancies at scale to inspire confidence within the Operations organization to execute work with minimal blockers. This role reports directly to the Reconciliation Operations manager. The 60-person Operations organization includes Corrections, Client Ops, Annual Compliance Ops, Reconciliation, and Client Transition Ops. This role is available in all locations.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in data reconciliation, accounting, or 401(k) working with large sets of data to reconcile

  • A systems thinker with experience unpacking and learning complex systems

  • An excellent verbal and oral communicator with the ability to articulate complex programs at the right altitude for the audience

  • Loves improving workflows through business systems with a passion for a single source of truth documentation

  • Understanding of Excel, sheets, SQL, and data analytics tools

  • An accounting background, organization tools like Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence, BI tools like Looker and BigQuery knowledge is a plus but not required

Compensation

At Guideline, we believe compensation should be fair and equitable. We take a data-driven approach to set our compensation bands; the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. We are always evaluating our pay zones to be as competitive as possible, so keep in mind these may be subject to changeThese pay zones may be modified in the future.

Metro+:

  • The base salary range for this position is $67,500-$82,500 annually.

Metro:

  • The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually.

National:

  • The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for equity in the form of Incentive Stock Options (ISOs).
