Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in obtaining construction and ordinance-based site permits from municipalities
  • Advanced knowledge of permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Established relationships with municipalities or the ability to build them within the first 90 days
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting site plans
  • Proven experience in supporting a scaling a permitting program
  • Familiarity with CAD site design systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent follow-up and time management abilities to minimize turnaround time

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of work scopes and proposals, ensuring comprehensive permit applications
  • Interact with project design professionals and Wing Partners, and strategically represent the company at municipality meetings
  • Travel to project locations to engage with third-party team members, permitting officials, and local authorities to advance project objectives
  • Actively participate and influence regulatory processes, staying informed on market changes and regulatory developments that may impact projects
  • Oversee the scheduling, delivery, and status of all permits, ensuring alignment and coordination with internal and external stakeholders from project inception to permit approval
  • Facilitate the permit application process by obtaining necessary documents from engineering teams, securing required approvals, and acting as the primary liaison between Wing and our Partners
  • Prepare and submit required permitting applications, ensuring compliance with agency and board requirements, and update issued plans for accuracy
  • Coordinate permit-related paperwork and applications, updating and monitoring status in the work management system
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ensure timely processing of permits and maintain clear and effective communication
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, appointments, reporting, project forecasting and other activities to support the permitting process, while maintaining comprehensive company files and records
